New Venue: The Natural Gardens

When you make a turn onto Sutherland Road and drive on for a minute or two you will enter a small, hidden, 120 acres paradise. It is completely re-landscaped with multiple ponds, streams and waterfalls. It would be the perfect spot for a wonderful wedding party. “And that is exactly what it is,” says owner/entrepreneur Steve McCartney. “We started building this place in 2008. We now do some 10 to 12 wedding parties here every year and will expand gradually to a maximum of 18 per year.”

But not the weekend of 1 and 2 July. Then Natural Gardens will be a Stagecoach Art Festival venue (#13), featuring six artists, including a woodworker and a jewelry maker. “They can show their work in the big reception hall or outside, whatever they prefer.” Steve has an active interest in the arts and has a daughter who is an artist.

“Will your daughter show at the Stagecoach Art Festival?” “Not this year,” says Steve, “she lives in Philadelphia.” “Next year?” “Maybe, you never can tell. A lot of things can happen in a year. “
